Ciboo Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 16, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Ciboo handles information when you use the app. The app is designed to keep your coffee journal and image work on your device. You do not need to create an account to use the app.

Information You Provide

You may choose to provide coffee photos, isolated cup images, drink type, serving size, date and time, time zone, notes, outline settings, background choices, and calendar card preferences. This content is used to provide the journaling, image editing, and calendar card features you request.

On-Device Photo Processing

When you select a photo, the app uses Apple frameworks and on-device processing to identify and isolate the main subject, apply an outline, and create edited images. Ciboo does not upload your coffee photos or extracted cup images to our servers.

Photo Library Access

The app requests access to photos only when you choose an image or ask to save an edited cup or calendar card. Items saved to your photo library are then controlled by your device settings and Apple Photos. You can change photo permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

Local Records and Retention

Your journal entries, image files, drafts, calendar card files, consent state, and app session state are stored on your device. They remain there until you delete them through the app, remove the app, or otherwise clear its local data. Files you have already saved or shared outside the app are not removed when local app data is deleted.

Technical and Support Information

The app may receive basic operating information made available by iOS, such as permission status, device locale, and time zone, when needed for app features. If you contact us for support, we may receive the information you include in your message. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or operate an account-based profiling system.

How Information Is Used and Shared

Information is used to operate requested features, preserve your local journal, process images on your device, save exports, respond to support requests, maintain security, and diagnose app errors. We do not sell your personal information. Information may be handled by Apple where necessary for iOS, Photos, and Vision services, or disclosed when required by law.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to a local-data app. No device, storage method, or software system can be guaranteed completely secure. Protecting your device, passcode, backups, Apple ID, and any exported or shared files remains important.

Your Choices

You may choose not to select photos, may limit photo access in iOS Settings, may edit or delete journal content, and may use the in-app deletion control to remove local app data. You can also uninstall the app to remove its local container, subject to iOS backup and platform behavior.

Children's Privacy

Ciboo is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through an account or server-operated service. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through a support request, please contact us.

International Use

You may use the app in different regions. Local on-device information generally remains under the storage and backup settings of your device. Support communications and Apple platform services may be processed in countries other than your own, subject to the practices of the relevant provider.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, legal requirements, or platform services change. The revised policy will show a new last-updated date. Continued use of the app after an update means the revised policy applies to future use.
